McLaren Abu Dhabi Delivers the First 750S in the United Arab Emirates

McLaren’s latest fusion of art and science, the 750S has found its first commander in the UAE shortly after making its regional debut. Transcending the legacy of the manic 720S, this car is even lighter, more agile and is the habitat of some clever electronic shenanigans that aim to breach the horizons of performance and agility.

Delivered to Mr. Mujeeb Rehman, a sheer motoring enthusiast, the brand’s MSO (McLaren Special Operations) team collaborated with him to personalize the car according to his requirements. For the exterior, he selected from an umpteen variety of colour themes to make the car appear unique and one-of-its-kind. Having the euphoria to clock astonishing lap times on a circuit, he sanctioned the team to curate an interior cockpit that paid homage to a track. Keeping check on weight of the elements that amalgamated to curate a tantalizing interior space, was his predilection.

Tipping the weighing scale at just 1,389 Kg (DIN), the 750S has shed 30 Kg of additional blubber over its forebear. This was sponsored by swathes of carbon-fibre on the seats to shave its mass by 17.5 Kg and spanking new forged Aluminium ultra-light weight wheels that further contribute in razing 13.8 Kg weight. 

McLaren’s most robust serious-production sports car to date caches a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that spouts 750 PS and 800 Nm of twisting force in a rear-wheel drive format which helps it hit the ton in a stupendous 2.8 seconds and 200 Km/h in just 7.2 seconds. Not just from a standstill, but on those occasions when the driver’s adrenaline levels boom, the car provides inexorable levels of oomph to scud through traffic merrily. 

The car has been provided with a comprehensive mechanical update in the form of McLaren Proactive Chassis Control which accentuates driving dynamics and poise by perfectly adjusting the suspension setup of the car.

The monocoque construction of the car is complemented with slim A-pillars to amp up visibility from inside the car. 

The 750S isn’t just about speed but about a splash of fine details too; exactly how its owner wanted it to be. Ambient lighting contributes to a pulchritudinal idyllic inside the car. However, for many avid car enthusiasts, the spectacular glance of the throaty V8 powertrain meticulously shrouded under a glass area at the rear will be breathtaking. 

The car can be specified with either full Nappa-leather bits or a tasteful combination of Nappa leather and Alcantara. When peaceful unhurried commuting is the need of the hour, the rasp from the exhaust makes way for melodious sounds from Bowers and Wilkins speakers which are now available with a more powerful amplifier.
