You could say the Infiniti QX has an almost unparalleled amount of positive features and someone looking for a vehicle that offers affordability and inherent luxury certainly wouldn’t argue with you. We review the Infiniti QX56 full option model within the large SUV segment, particularly in UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Performance

With a 5.6 litre engine the Infiniti has the guts to drive you to greater glory. A powerful vehicle (at 400 hp) it makes light work of extra weight and handles extremely well when overtaking. The 7-speed automatic transmission will bring a smile to even the most experienced drivers. The adaptive shift control is also a delight.

The Infiniti QX has been designed with desert driving taken into consideration hence the large ground clearance. It is worth noting however that this is a luxury cruiser not an off road dune basher so don’t go expecting to pull any sandcastle climbing manoeuvres once inside!

The instrumentation and driver controls demonstrate best practice and automatic rear levelling suspension ensures a smooth journey.

Variable Valve Event and Lift for intake valves improves fuel efficiency – an important factor when you consider the power of the vehicle which comes hand in hand with higher fuel consumption.

Parking was something that took getting used to in the Infiniti QX. It’s taller and wider than other 7 seaters on the market which again adds to the overall luxury feel but be prepared to take a little more time pulling into spaces before hitting the shops.

Interior

A car that takes spaciousness to a whole new level, the Infiniti QX could take on American sized trucks inch by inch and still leave room for the tallest of passengers. Comfort is catered for in this vehicle and smooth manoeuvring along with blind spot warning helps negotiate those tricky corners.

Inherently this is a family vehicle. Seven adults will sit comfortably in the Infiniti QX although the third row seats have less room. For those with children on board the best in class technology and second row passenger video screens ensure onboard entertainment.

The Infiniti QX comes with an all beige interior which suits the clean styling and lines where chic minimalism meets luxury for those looking to attain the upper echelon style wise. For those families whose younger ones come bearing sticky fingers however I would recommend a more wipe friendly choice.

The premium Bose 13 speaker sound system is a must for dedicated audiophiles and is another nod towards that extra touch of something special to the family that demands the best from car travel.

Boot space is well appointed even with all seats upright. For anyone with larger items to take into consideration then folding down the second row seat offers even more storage.

Verdict

Ultimately the Infiniti QX has set an enviable standard in premium luxury for families looking for the best in comfort on long journeys. Its technology alone is far superior to a lot you see elsewhere which gives it a big thumbs up.
