Al Tayer Motors Tops Ford’s Global Sales Challenge
Dubai: 27 November 2012 - Nadia Lamris, Ford Sales Adviser at Al Tayer Motors, one of the UAE’s premier automobile dealerships, has won the Ford Export & Growth Vehicle Walk-around Presentation Challenge World Cup.
Held bi-annually at Dearborn, the Vehicle Walk-Around Presentation Challenge recognizes and rewards the best sales consultants in Ford’s dealer network. Sales representatives from dealerships in nine countries worldwide, including the UAE, qualified for Ford’s global challenge.
“Nadia’s success at the global level further underlines the continuous efforts being made in training our sales advisers to identify and recommend the most suitable vehicles for customers based on their lifestyle and needs. We congratulate her on this superb achievement,” said Ashok Khanna, Chief Executive Officer, Al Tayer Motors.
Challenge participants competed first at their local dealership, demonstrating their knowledge of and ability to present the Ford Focus or Ranger pickup truck to potential customers. Local winners then competed regionally, with winners at that level earning a trip to the World Cup finals in Dearborn.
"The Ford Vehicle Walkaround Presentation World Cup recognises and rewards sales consultants for their knowledge and passion in presenting the latest Ford products,” said Larry Prein, Ford Middle East’s managing director. “It serves as an incentive to help sharpen the knowledge of our sales consultants while encouraging them to better share their passion for Ford with customers. We commend the Al Tayer Motors team for their drive to providing increasing levels of customer satisfaction during the sales experience and to advancing their own skills and knowledge of the business.”
Earlier this year, Al Tayer Motors’ Sales Adviser, Nadia Lamris and Premier Motors’ Sales Adviser Hassan Ayyoub claimed the top two slots at the Middle East regional Championships held in Jordan.
Competing sales consultants first had to achieve core professional level certification. For the competition, they had to know the key marketing messages and how to relate them to customers. They were also judged on how well they established a rapport with the customer, drew out what was important to them and then customised their presentation.
Judges also looked for how well the competitors familiarised would-be customers with Focus’ and Ranger’s quality, green, safe and smart design elements.
For her achievement, Nadia won a trophy as well as a cash prize of US$ 5,000/-.
