All new Toyota Innova Launched in UAE

Al Futtaim Motors, the dealer of Toyota in the UAE, held an exclusive event for the launch of the all-new 2016 Toyota Innova at the Dubai Festival City showroom for the media and guests. This is the second generation Innova since the car’s launch in 2005. The Toyota Innova is your budget friendly MPV that can seat up to 8 passengers.
Coming to the car itself, it looks the same in this market as in the others (read about the leaked pictures here). This is a totally new shape but still manages to resemble the previous generation Innova. The exterior details include chrome plated moulding on the front grille, new headlamps and taillamps and new wheels.

Interior has been upgraded as well with the addition of silver and fake wood trim all around. There is the 4.2” TFT display like the Fortuner as well. The seating can be either 7 or 8 (7 seats will give the second row the captain seats). There are seatback tables as well for the second row. Headroom has been increased by 5mm for the front seats and 10mm for the third row seats. Moreover, there is cruise control available as well.

The Innova is powered by a 2.7 liter engine that produces 164 BHP and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The platform is the same as the Fortuner so expect new suspension for ride comfort. Other than that, there is ABS/EBD, airbags and rear camera for safety. The new Innova is available across showrooms in three trim levels: SE (AED 92,900), SE+ (AED 98,900) and Limited (AED 102,900).

Last year, the Toyota LCV line-up recorded an average of 8% growth, while the LCV segment itself saw a growth of 4% average. This performance is influenced to a great extent by cars like the Innova, which has traditionally been extremely popular among Taxi operators and SMEs”.
