As a car enthusiast, this news tickles me and gives me a warm fuzzy feeling all over. It is because the things I would love to have in a car are coming true. Before I go into details, let’s look at Aston Martin. This iconic British brand makes by far the prettiest machines in the automotive industry. Take any Aston and you will love the curvy design. The designers in Aston just simply know how to make beautiful looking cars. No wonder they are the vehicle of choice by Mr. James Bond.

Now, let’s look at AMG. The specialist-arm of Mercedes, AMG has built some worthy car as well. The recipe lies in the heart of the car i.e. the engine. AMG makes one of the world’s most drool-worthy engines and more than the power, they are known for their signature noise. You just know it is an AMG without even looking at it. The roar is that iconic.

Now mix these two giants and add in a manual transmission. What more can you ask for in a car? As you AMG will supply its 4.0 liter V8 engine to Aston Martin as part of a deal. This means the 503 BHP engine from the AMG GTS will power the new Aston Martin V8 Vantage that will be debuting next year. The 2017 Vantage is part of Aston’s plan of having seven new models including the all-new DB11, then comes the new Vanquish and probably a crossover since everyone else is entering that market.

But having a manual with an AMG engine, that’s not common at all. So, this pretty exciting news and the CEO of Aston Martin, Mr. Andy Palmer has confirmed it by saying “I’ve already gone on the record saying I want to be the last manufacturer in the world to offer a manual sports car.” God Bless you Andy.
