With the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II being celebrated, 2022 really is a special year for many in the western world. If there’s a brand that really rhymes with the majesty of her royal highness, it has to be the Jaguar Land Rover Group. Even though the group is under the ownership of the Indian conglomerate Tata Group, Jaguar Land Rover remains an iconic brand in the legacy that is the British Empire. To commemorate the Queen’s 70 years of dedicated service, Land Rover contributed an example of the all-new Defender 130 as a British Red Cross unit in the United Kingdom.

Before it even goes into active service, the all-new Defender 130, representatives from the charity will work alongside Land Rover engineers. The end-result of this has been a vehicle that complies with the Queen’s vision – supporting the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies since 1954. Oh, just so you know, the Platinum Jubilee Pageant holds in its collection, 26 cars dated June 5th. The Jaguar Land Rover brand is one of the most appreciated nameplates in the history of the United Kingdom.

Speaking about the event was Chris Davies, Head of Crisis Response. Davies stated, “We are delighted to be receiving the Defender 130 and look forward to working with the team at Land Rover to modify this over the coming months. As the longest version of this vehicle ever produced, we will be able to utilise the increased capacity to incorporate new and unique features that will better support our emergency response and ambulance support work. The vehicle’s off-road capabilities will give us the freedom to access remote areas and reach people affected by emergencies and disasters across the UK.”

Celebrating 70 years of her reign., this bookmark truly shows her reflection on the world of automobiles – especially the ones that hail from Britain. Taking part in this procession is a bespoke 1965 Series 1 E-type Roadster (one of the best sports cars ever made), three Jaguar and Land Rover models from James Bond films from the time period, and two bespoke Land Rover Defenders that Her Majesty truly likes. Of course, the really rare Jaguar that’s under the disposal of the Queen has been worked on by the skunk works that’s now known as Jaguar Classic Works, who also painted these cars with the metallic blue paintwork that is the Union flag.

According to Chris Thorp, Chief of Staff, Jaguar Land Rover, “It is a true honour for our vehicles to play a part in this momentous occasion to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee. As the UK’s longest reigning monarch, Head of the Commonwealth, patron of more than 600 charities as well as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, the Queen is a remarkable role model and we are delighted to celebrate with her today.”

In this pageant, there were examples from the 1948 Amsterdam Motor Show, which included the first Land Rover 4x4s. Since moving towards the future is such an important task, models such as the F-Pace Electric Hybrid really have made their mark. It not only looks cool (as the standard F-Pace), It sports a custom livery that has been conceptualised with one of the greatest drummers, Nandi Bushell in mind. At the same time, the E-Trophy racing series had its mascot in the fantastically-advanced Jaguar I-Pace.

As for the details that’s this route, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee saw a procession that lasted from The Mall to Buckingham Palace – a distance of 3 kilometres. If you’re wondering why this is important, this track is supposed to be a tracing route for what is to be the Queen’s coronation, i.e., a route that celebrates the Queen’s seven decades of “queenship”. With multiple Jaguar and Land Rover cars at the parade, the display will shine a light at a carnival of art, music, theatre and dance, with cultural icons like Bear Grylls to Dame Joan Collins.
