Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 2016 First Drive
Tags:
The Lamborghini Huracan is Lamborghini’s ticket to increasing sales volume. It is the baby Lambo and the company wants to push as many as possible. The Huracan is the successor to the famous and best-selling Lambo ever – the Gallardo. Initially, the Huracan was released with an all-wheel-drive system suited for better control and instant power delivery. But, with the added ease, the feel of the Lambo became a miss. Hence they heard the cries of the critics and released the LP 580-2 – the rear wheel drive Huracan.

Exterior
It is same as the regular all-wheel-drive Huracan we have been seeing for quite long. The styling is close to the elder sibling – the Aventador. So you will get that wedgy shape with a dipping nose in the front for aerodynamic purposes. The car is low! It is so low infact that you can pass under the parking barrier gates without even opening them. So, that’s a YallaMotor tip for you supercar fans out there. There are no scissor doors in the Huracan – something I would like to see. But, overall, it looks like a Lamborghini and that’s what matters
Interior
The interior is the same as well. The seating position is not as good as the Mclaren or the Ferrari and you feel that after driving continuously for more than an hour. After a while, the seats start to feel uncomfortable. Other than that, the interior is crisp and the whole F-22 Raptor styled cockpit is one of the most exciting places to be in. The instrument panel graphics are the best of the lot. Everything just looks right in place.
Drive
This is where the focus actually went. The previous Huracan LP610-4 was the least driver oriented Lambo ever made. The car was too focused on achieving faster lap times that there was no drama involved. It felt like attending a science lecture. Everything was so precise and dull that it did not even feel like a Lambo. Thankfully though, this one is miles apart from that. The LP580-2 has rear wheel drive, 30 less BHP and a lot more excitement. The rear comes to play after a little push and you get that fuzzy feeling. The car is a little slower than the 610 as it reaches 0-100 in 3.4 secs compared to 2.9. But, that really doesn’t matter. This brings back the feel of a Lambo and this is exactly what the doctor ordered.
Verdict
This is the Lamborghini you want to buy.
