Mitsubishi is finally looking to do something about its product lifecycle. After ages, we finally see something coming from Mitsubishi. Probably, 2016 is the year for the brand. After the recent launch of the Montero Sport, now we get this piece of news to be shared.

Mitsubishi has decided to give a makeover to its smallest SUV – the ASX – and its smallest car – the Mirage. Both cars made their debuts at the Geneva Motor Show. I guess they realized they need to spruce things up if they want to stay in competition.

Let’s have a look at the Mitsubishi ASX first. The front fascia is redesigned to be in line with the other offerings from the brand. Other changes include push button start and new 18 inches alloy wheels. Moreover, there is a shark fin antenna, new steering wheel trim with a glossy touch and redesigned rear seats. This ASX shape will mostly reach this market in summers and will continue till 2019. So, overall, there is not much to talk about the new ASX but in my opinion, any change is better than no change.

Now, we come to the Mitsubishi Mirage. This little car has a lot more to offer in its newest form than the predecessor. The exterior includes a whole new front face, with brand new headlight design, new grille and new bumpers. Moreover, there is a new bulgy hood and the story continues in the rear as well with new LED taillights and a new roof spoiler.

The changes are not cosmetic as Mitsubishi has changed the suspension and made it stiffer to keep the car stable with less body roll in addition to changes in the power steering. The interior too receives some alterations in the form of new steering wheel, instrument cluster and little nip/tuck in the dash. There is now a multimedia screen with navigation, Bluetooth and surprisingly the Mirage has Apple CarPlay too.
