Nissan Holds Competition To Mark Patrol’s 70th Anniversary

There are several iconic automakers in the world known for the legacy they imprint with their cars on the road and even in our hearts. One of those is Nissan, famed for several famed models such as the Altima, Maxima and the Patrol. Several eons of these cars can still be seen on the roads indicating that they are iconic because of their reliability and power. One of those models is the Arab region’s favourite, Patrol which has colloquially won the title, ‘Hero of all terrains’ as it has the calibre to decimate everything in its path. Its serious 4X4 capabilities have made it an ideal off-roading vehicle. Several other traits such as seating for seven, commanding view of the road, high-quality materials on the inside and technology which makes driving this beast a pleasure are why it sells in such generous numbers. Its reliability is the feather on the cap making it a good bargain over others in this segment.

Realising how endearing it has become in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Arabian Automobiles, the flagship brand of AW Rostamani group which distributes Nissan, Infiniti and Renault vehicles, has announced a social media contest for Patrol owners in the UAE to showcase their cutting-edge photography skills and post pictures of their Patrols on Instagram with the hashtags #ForTheLoveOfPatrol and #Nissandxb. 

The company has elicited that owners of Patrol Safari, Patrol Super Safari, Y62 and Nismo are eligible to participate in the competition between 27th July and 18th August. Following the end of the competition, a polling round will be conducted and three best photos will be selected, the senders of which will be entitled to receive weekly prizes such as cameras, Apple Watches and AirPods. Such gifts entice people and knowing how popular the product is, it is likely to generate a great response. The event also works as an incentive to take the Patrol out on scenic locations and capture photos that will serve as good lifetime memories.  

To intimate the winners, the company will be creating a collage and uploading it on its social media channels and showrooms on the 19th August to celebrate World Photography Day. A collage will make for a great idyllic as it represents the creativity of the enthusiastic minds in the UAE. The contest also shows how AW Rostamani group keeps maintaining good relations with its customers in the region. Such contests and events are regularly rolled out by them to not only market its expansive range of products, but also build personal touch with the potential buyers. 

Patrol is one of the most vehement cars in its segment making 400 hp and 560 Nm of torque. To provide a thrilling experience, its Nismo derivative is fed 428 horses for rapid acceleration off the line. It recently got a facelift which brought with it a dual-screen theme for the interior and a slightly overhauled visage highlighting the brand’s ‘V-motion’ grille and new headlamps with LED inserts.
