Quick Review

The Audi A4 has long been the class leader in terms of comfort, luxury and style on a reasonable budget.

In terms of design, the A4 remains one of the best-looking cars in the segment, especially thanks to a new, more angular, face-lift. The biggest change to the model is probably the improved efficiency under the bonnet, as well as a more precise drive thanks to a slimmed-down chassis.

Behind the wheel, the 2012 Audi A4 also remains pretty much the same as its predecessors. On the road the A4 has a stable, solid feel to its handling, especially at higher speeds. However, drivability seems a bit compromised, compared to it’s peers. It’s solid overall, but in terms of drivability the Audi A4 seems a bit edged out by its higher-end rivals like the Mercedes C250 or the BMW 328i. . But then, the Audi has always challenged the class with a combination of value-for-money, stylish design and a fantastic level of comfort.

The Audi interiors have long been a benchmark for the segment and the front seat of the new 2012 model is a joy to sit in. The in-cabin technology on offer is really impressive and provides you with a luxurious and ultra-modern designed interior. That’s why the 2012 Audi A4 remains the perfect compact executive car for drivers who want their money spent on style and front-seat-comfort. Its only real rival in terms of quality and value-for-money is the Volvo S60, but you have to tip the A4 slightly ahead, even if the S60 is improving drastically.

For now, the A4 still reigns supreme; it might not offer the best drivability, but it still gives a solid performance. For sheer value for performance, there is an awful lot to love about the A4.
