Quick Review

For 2013, the Honda Pilot gets a few cosmetic changes to the front and rear. Under the hood, the same engine from previous version is in operation that is a 3.5-liter V6 producing 253 hp. A major aesthetic change is visible in the front grill, which is now more similar to others in the Honda family. Other than that, there are very few differences between the 2011 and 2013 models.

The pros of buying the new Honda Pilot are the handy interior storage features, impressive fuel economy, the existence of a spacious third-row seat and the overall pleasant driving experience. As for the downsides, we can mention the cheap interior plastics, the comparatively slower acceleration and 5-speed automatic transmission, which could be better.

The car comes in four versions: LX, EX-L, EX,and Touring. Some of the standard features include keyless entry, 17-inch steel wheels, rear privacy glass, front and rear air-conditioning, automatic headlights, cruise control, a trailer hitch, and an audio system with CD/MP3 player. On the safety side, the standard equipment includes stability control, anti-lock brakes, side curtain airbags and front-seat side airbags.

The 2013 Honda Pilot is an overall pleasant vehicle to drive and it would be a good choice for those looking for a reliable family car. It is competitively priced compared to its rivals and offers comparable options for towing with great fuel economy. Main rivals include the Nissan Pathfinder and the Ford Explorer.
