Quick Overview

In recent times, Mazda has reinvigorated its ZOOM ZOOM philosophy back into its cars. Done with the boring and safe designs and making way for something interesting and different. The 2014 Mazda is exactly that, a little car with plenty of character and sporty looks. It is one tempting choice in a market that is fierce. Its competitors include the Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Accent, Honda Civic and the Nissan Sentra.

The 2014 Mazda 3 offers plenty of style and charisma for its relatively small price tag. For starters, it looks proper fun and funky, while the competition is more uptight with their design, Mazda went another direction. Its chunky styling and aggressive front end, together with cool lights, does give it more life that is lacking in this segment. The 2014 Mazda 3 is totally new, the chassis has been tweaked for a more engaging drive while remaining a bit plush. The new SkyActiv engines offer reasonable power, but is one of the smoothest engines available while offering class leading fuel efficiency. The 2.5 Litre 4-cylinder develops 184 HP and is the engine of choice, easily keeping up with motorway speeds and whisper quiet. The 2014 Mazda 3 is a far cry from its boring and stodgy predecessor, this little car promises a lot.

Inside, the Mazda 3 is all about youthfulness, gone with the old appliance look for a revived design. However, it can look quite drab in basic trim and is not as adventurous as some of its competitors. Due to the funky, low roof, interior space is not exactly generous, especially for rear passengers, where it can get slightly cramped. Standard equipment is rather basic and includes USB connectivity, AUX inputs, 6 Airbags. Although more expensive models come with Navigation, Touch Controls, Bluetooth, Head Up Display and a Bose Sound System.
