Quick Review

The 2013 Fortuner has been updated for 2013 and has had a face lift. One of the most noted of these changes is the front end of the vehicle in relation to sleek looking headlamps that have self leveling projector lights. The lines on the bonnet are also more prominent and the air scoop is slightly bigger. Other vehicles in the class include the Nissan X-Trail, the BMW X1 and the Ford Explorer.

The Fortuner falls under the bracket of the SUV which is suitable for families as there is plenty of room and those who love adventure seeking. The interior remains much the same as before with the grey/beige interior design scheme, however the console is a new design complete with a touch screen DVD which offers mobile phone connectivity via Bluetooth. There is also a brand new design for the instrument panel with the instruments being very easy to read and the vehicle is a pleasure to drive thanks to the four speed automatic transmission and seamless gear shifting. The vehicle can easily be driven in low gear modes, 2nd or 3rd to compensate for the lack of a sports mode or paddle shifters.

On the exterior the 2013 Toyota Fortuner has cosmetic changes in the tailgate layout which is now home to an embossed name tag and chrome garnish. There are new colors available and the most prominent feature on the exterior is the two circular lamps. Along with the cosmetic changes the 2013 Toyota Fortuner is also offered with a four speed automatic transmission compared to the previous models five speed transmission.
