Quick Review

Kia Picanto is a 3 or 5-door urban car, which was considerably restyled in 2007.

From the equipment perspective, the new Kia Picanto features a radio with MP3 player, a part leather upholstery and power mirrors. However, the finishes appear to be behind the competition, as the plastics are a drawback at this economy vehicle range. The Picanto weighs just 950 kg and this makes it very easy to handle and fun to drive. On the downside, the 5 speed automatic gearbox may hamper on long journeys and uphill rides.

On the outside, the new model has grown by 15 mm in wheelbase and 60 mm in overall length, thus increasing the cabin space for passengers. The standard engine size is 1.2L which is great for fuel efficiency.

The Kia Picanto is a good choice for those who are looking for an affordable, economical car and are not interested too much in image, style or speed. The car is excellent for driving around the city doing chores and for short trips to the workplace.
