Quick Overview

The 2014 LS is the flagship model of Lexus's line up, offering solid reliability, incredible build quality and a host of tech toys and gadgets that would make its German rivals cringe with envy. The LS competes with the BMW 7 Series, the Audi A8 and the current king, the Mercedes S Class.

The 2014 Lexus LS retains the same platform but has gone through a complete makeover. It now looks more aggressive and imposing, but retains its ultra quiet and supreme limo like ride and comfort, simply gliding along the road. Powered by a 4.6 Litre V8 producing 383 HP, which is mated to an 8 speed transmission, this powertrain manages to move the big LS without any hesitation. Handling is decent but it is not as sporty as its European rivals. An optional F-Sport package revises the suspension and gearbox settings for a more engaging drive while looking sportier than the standard model.

The interior is where the LS really shines, Lexus has created a design that is very modern yet retains a classical and formal feel and with the materials used, it feels very luxurious and upmarket. Standard cars are fitted with a huge 12.3 inch screen that controls all the gadgets and comes with an amazing Mark Levinson sound system for which Lexus has won numerous awards. The LS is still an innovator in its class and remains an excellent car that provides genuine competition to the European stables.
