Chevrolet confirms partnership with Global EVRT

Chevrolet Bolt

For the second year in a row, Chevrolet Middle East confirms its partnership with Global EVRT, announcing that its all-new Chevrolet Bolt will be joining the eight-day bonanza as the ‘Official Electric Vehicle Partner’ when the event kicks off on 17th January 2019.

Ben Pullen, CEO and Founder of Global Electric Vehicle Road Trip says: “We are delighted to have Chevrolet confirmed once again. The Bolt EV is a game-changer, particularly when it comes to its 520km range and will dispel misconceptions that electric vehicles can’t drive long distances.”

The EVRT Middle East is an eight-day adventure over 2,000-kilometers from UAE to Oman, allowing the Chevrolet Bolt EV to demonstrate performance credentials over a long distance and prove that range anxiety is a thing of the past.

With over 370 charging stations scattered across the UAE, the UAE stands as the fifth most densely populated charging destination in the world. Using third-party applications such as PlugShare, EV owners and users can always find the charging station closest to them.

Gary D. West, General Motors’ Head of Future Mobility Middle East, said:  "Last year, the EVRT Middle East gave car enthusiasts a first look at our Chevrolet Bolt EV as it was put to the test driving over 1,750km from the UAE to Oman and back. The Chevrolet Bolt EV has proven it can tackle any real-world driving situation and we look forward to welcoming new EVRT Middle East participants this year to experience the car's outstanding green credentials themselves."
