Quick Review

There have only been minor changes to the Ford Fusion for 2012, the most noticeable of which for driving aficionados will be that the SE model now comes standard with six-speed automatic transition instead of the former manual set up. Door seals and mirrors have been improved in the name of NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) and four new colours have been added to the range of choice. There are some who will hold off buying a 2012 Fusion as the 2013 Fusion is set to launch soon and it’s lauding itself as “More than a new car model – a new model for cars”.

But for now, the 2012 Fusion is still a stylish choice for a family sedan (although it comes across as too aggressive for some tastes). It's certainly not as spacious as similar cars, such as the Honda Accord or Hyundai Sonata but to be fair to the Fusion, the interior is very well designed, the seats are comfortable and the interior ambient lighting is a nice touch.

The 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine produces 175 horsepower and 233 Nm or torque. With a top speed of 200 km/h and a 0 – 100 sprint time of 9.5 seconds, the Fusion is not a car to be taken lightly. Fuel economy is also excellent with just 8.9 liters for every 100 km.
