When Nissan introduced the Nissan Juke back in 2010, no one knew what to expect, because what they did was effectively create a whole new segment unseen before, the sport compact crossover.

Upon its launch, Nissan had some realistic expectations for sales numbers, expecting for example the sale of only 1,300 units on its first month, an expectation soon to be proved wrong. Nissan ended up selling 8 times more than its expectations in major markets like Europe and USA, ushering a new era for the sport compact crossover.
