Hyundai Creta 2017 Front

With the crossover becoming one of the most popular car types worldwide, brands are scrambling to create their best version of it. Now, the segment is about to become more competitive, with Hyundai set to enter the fore with the Creta. Entering the market with rave reviews, the 2017 Hyundai Creta is in contention for the best new car in Oman.

Exterior

One of the most noticeable traits of the Creta is its size. Its dimensions are noticeably bigger than most of its competitors in the compact SUV market. In fact, the Creta’s dimensions are just a few inches smaller than the bigger Tucson. The exterior design is simple, but each component and detail looks purposeful and functional.

Interior

While the exterior is a pleasant surprise, the interior of the 2017 Hyundai Creta is even more so. The extra-large dimensions (for a compact crossover) pay dividends here, as both headroom and legroom are generous. Combine that with good-quality seats, and both front and rear passengers will have a comfy ride. Great quality materials are also used, which is impressive considering its price range.

A long list of standard features is an additional strength of the Hyundai Creta 2017. While it is slightly more expensive compared to its competitors, it holds one of the most comprehensive list of standard features in its class. An infotainment system serves as the hub for a lot of this car’s basic features such as the navigation system and the rearview camera. The sound system is also excellent and fully loaded. Lastly, it has standard safety features such as anti-lock brakes and airbags.

Specs

Currently, there is only one engine option available for the Creta in Oman. This is Hyundai’s ever-reliable 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine. This motor produces a maximum of 121 horsepower and 151 Nm of torque. It doesn’t sound much, but it provides more than passable performance for most purposes. The suspension is set up for added ride height and to provide just the right balance between shock absorption and cornering ability.
