Dubai's E-Scooter and Bicycle Rules: Watch Out for Fines!

Now, here's the lowdown on the fines you gotta keep in mind while cruisin':

1. If you Carry another passenger on your regular or electric bicycle, That's a Dh200 fine.
2. Carrying another passenger on an e-scooter? That's Dh300 right there.
3. Failure or forgetting the safety gear and helmet! That's a Dh200 fine.
4. Keep it within RTA's speed limits on the designated paths. Exceed it, and it's Dh100 fine.
5. Riding recklessly, putting lives at risk? Dh300 fine on the spot.
6. Pay attention to those directional signs on roads and paths. Skip it, and it's Dh200.
7. Kids under 12 going solo? Nah, they need a grown-up, or it's Dh200.

Here's the rundown:

The RTA wants to make sure we're all on the same page, so they're giving us a shout-out on social media with these rules. For residential areas and beaches, the max speed on those tracks is 20km/hr. Stick to the tracks and follow the traffic signs, folks!

And hey, no hitching a ride on an e-scooter, okay? Only kids under 16 can ride those. And if you're under 12, make sure you've got a grown-up with you. Keep it safe out there, everybody!
