Nissan has officially announced it will shift production of its manufacturing hub based in the UK to 100% electric power. As a result, the company will release into the market the new generation of three electric vehicles. The revolutionary plan dubbed EV36Zero has a $4 billion investment, signifying a milestone in the global shift from internal combustion engines for the company.

The Nissan EV36Zero Centre, located in Sunderland, will operate on a carbon-neutral basis. Nissan’s main models transform electrification, including the popular Qashqai and Juke, as well as the next generation of Nissan Leaf, which played a pivotal role in the electric vehicle revolution.

Renewable Energy-Powered Facility

An on-site, smaller EV36Zero network will run it using wind and solar energy farms at their disposal. Nissan and its suppliers will be receiving 100% renewable energy from this small-scale network, underscoring Nissan’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

Makoto Uchida, the chief executive officer of Nissan, was very excited about the project, saying, “We are speeding towards a new age for Nissan, the entire industry, and our customers with the introduction of our core European model electric versions."

Nissan’s investment of $1.38 billion in the United Kingdom includes an extensive supply chain for research and development that manufactures two new electric vehicles. Inspired by Electric Concepts

Three of the electric car models that are coming soon were inspired by the three electric concept cars known as Nissan Hyper Urban Concept, Nissan Hyper PUNK Concept, and Nissan Chill-out Concept. These models provide distinct designs as well as styling.
