Presenting the Nissan BladeGlider Concept
Tags:
It started off as an IndyCar racer as the DeltaWing concept in 2010, but was redesigned for Le Mans later. This is where Nissan joined the project and redesigned it with the ZEOD RC. So after continuous remodeling, what we have here now is called the BladeGlider Concept – an electric sportscar which Nissan will present at the Tokyo Motor Show.
From the first glimpse, it looks radical. This car has a narrow front and wide rear to minimize drag. Add to that a 1+2 seating with the driver in the front center and you have got a Mclaren F1 styled cockpit. Other features include:
-Upward Swinging doors
-In-wheel motors
-Lightweight lithium-ion battery
-30:70 weight distribution towards the rear
Though exciting as it sounds, it is highly likely that this concept will go into production but not to worry, we at least know what the future holds for Nissan designs and we are pleased with what we find.
