TORSUS announces the introduction of the TERRASTORM CHASSIS

Business activity is surging back to its optimum levels and entrepreneurs have started to recoup the lost ground. Construction companies heave a sigh of relief as lockdown restrictions ease and production begins yet again. To be a kingpin in facilitating such heavy activities, tough and immaculately built vehicles are required. Torsus, a brand known for its heavy-duty off-road vehicles has showcased its latest creation which is a chassis cab called the TERRASTORM CHASSIS. It will be available in both, left and right-hand drive markets and will be available to order from the 1st January, 2022. 

It will be available in several formats, starting from a Recovery Vehicle flatbed and Dropside or Tipper avatars which can be opted for according to the consumer’s needs. At its heart, is a 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine which churns out 177 hp. These horses can be channelized by either a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic gearstick.  

Built in Slovakia, it imbibes its characteristic design and construction from PRAETORIAN and the TERRASTORM buses. Like most trucks, it can be had in either single-cab or double-cab templates for the locomotion of people to even the remotest of the locations.

The hunk can be taken to sites such as mining locations where heavy equipment and folks have to be transported or even on fertile lush green land where the arsenal would mainly comprise agricultural equipment which can be loaded and unloaded easily. The biggest advantage it has is that the barebones chassis framework can be used to attach a caravan after which it can be used for recreational purposes or weekend outings. It can also deliver medication aid in places where one has to scythe through the mud ruts and perplexing tarmac surface and fire-fighting in even the placid places in case there’s a conflagration. Lastly, it can also come to rescue where other vehicles might get stuck in cases of extreme sand dunes or gruff surfaces. 

Taking this truck anywhere won’t be unnerving by any chance as it has been tested extensively on the most harsh asphalts in Czech Republic and Slovakia along with the Tatra testing ground to ensure it doesn’t break down no matter the abuse thrown at it and can be a faithful companion for its master. 

Augmenting its off-road mettle is a locking differential which helps it to make it through in situations when the wheels scramble for traction or a tyre is in the air. Electronic hardware also plays a crucial role in elevating its go-anywhere capability. To prevent engine and other electronics present under the hood from going out of order, full bottom skid protection has been provided to the behemoth. The tyres are special-purpose off-road ones as well.

Such vehicles might appear utilitarian but TORSUS has made sure it leaves a good prima-facie wherever it goes. Hence, elements such as LED high beam, DRLs, spotlights make up the front fascia. It also gets robust shock absorbers so that there aren’t enough jiggles in the ride. Further enlivening its appeal is a snorkel which lets in air without letting water to filter through and protecting 2-6 occupants depending on the cab configuration which are provided a layer of comfort by the supportive seats. It has been backed by a great after sales network in continents such as Asia, Europe, Australia and South America, where it is on sale. 

The truck seems poised to give its chief American and European fray, a run for their money with such advanced features and a thoughtful make-up specially when it ticks all the boxes so very well.
